Shops! I have updated some shops I have from Dolls House Direct. They are quite versatile as you can make them whatever size you like really. I have been tinkering with the insides for a while now, I have no idea what period they are set in, that went out the window and I just did what I liked.
First a butcher..
I REALLY wish I had photos to show you on the latest project we have been working on, but we were just not allowed to take any, so I will just have to tell you about it instead. We have spent the last two days working with the design team of Harpers Bazar magazine. We have used our houses in jewellery shoots before, but this one was a particularly nice one with several million pounds worth of gem stones draped in and on our houses. To see the end result you will need to buy the Christmas edition of Harpers Bazar. I quite liked the 40 carat yellow diamond but they just wouldn’t give it to me.. Meantime here’s some photos from the last shoot we did.
Something from a finished house. This Chinoiseries inspired room with ensuite and separate dressing area. Posted photos earlier, but now it has the last bits done. Trying to show that one room can be split into smaller ones to add interest?
I can now say I have decorated every style of house. This house belonged to an American lady when she was a little girl. She never did anything with it, but it passed to her daughter many years later. Typical American style the back is open, the house is for a child, but designs chosen by her Mum, whose brief was to make it ‘pretty’ for a little girl. It’s hard to hide the wires in these houses, they actually run down the chimney breasts. Some before shots too, the ply was VERY rough to work with, you have to scroll through if you want to see it finished…
