I am really lucky to be able to work with some beautiful pieces and clients with exceptional taste, here is an example of both. Lynda’s bathroom.
Haven’t updated for a while. It’s because I have been working on Lynda’s house, it’s a rather special house as it’s has some unusual features, not only has it got a basement section to allow Lynda to have fun with all the beautiful things you can do with one, but it now has a Coach house, an Orangery and a terraced garden. You can see the garden section which will sit along side the house. I have yet to do the orangery.. hope you like it Lynda. X
Polishing the beautiful brass handrail to my clients staircase today. This will be a main feature in her hallway. You can see before and after, nice what a bit of polish can do.
Lynda’s basement, laundry coming together. Sussex Crafts sinks and Airer with Romney Miniatures tiles….
Update today on Lynda’s house, well basement actually. I’m waiting for some things from Sussex Crafts to finish it off, but thought I would show you these from Romney Miniatures. If you ever need real ceramic tiles, this is the place to go, they have a huge range. This is a link to their tiles, but they do quite a range of other things. Basement photos to follow, showing Romney’s tiles…

Lynda’s kitchen photos today, with a Sussex Crafts sink (one of about three styles they do) I did repaint the cabinets, as they weren’t quite right. Marker on the brickwork shows where I will put the bread oven. Tiles from Romney Miniatures.
An update on Lynda’s kitchen today. I have to order a bread oven from Sussex Crafts Miniatures. They have to be one of the finest miniature suppliers in the world. Some of there items like working coffee grinder are the same as you will find in Queen Mary’s Dolls House.
This is them…

Renovations.. sometimes I get asked to renovate an older much loved house and maybe reconfigure it to suit the owner. This was a Sid Cooke shop, you can see before, during and after, hopefully you can tell the difference! Lots of photos, get a cup of coffee!
I am now really behind on my commissions, so this is part apology part explanation as to why. I have a lovely client at the moment who came to me with a small dolls house to renovate that had become damaged. It was mass produced and small, but her collection, which she brought to show me, was far superior to her house, even renovated it will never really be what she wants. What we ended up doing is finding her a new unique house, and making her a purpose built basement to go with it which will also allow for a garden. This will be a high end finish and give her (hopefully) the house she really would like. It puts my work schedule back 2 months, but my business is not about time, it’s about making my clients the house that they have always wanted. So I’m really sorry for anyone waiting for me, but I promise to spend as much time with you, getting your project just right. Meantime a look at my clients new basement in progress….
